The Challenge

During the pandemic, access to treatment and human connection became increasingly out of reach—just as addiction rates were rising. RECO needed a way to reach those struggling in isolation and show that recovery was not only possible but within reach. The challenge was to create empathy at scale and transform fear into hope through digital innovation.

Our Approach

OGK® conceived and developed RECO Island—the world’s first fully virtual recovery experience. Built as an interactive 3D platform, the experience guided users through a digital representation of the recovery journey, complete with staff introductions, facility tours, and conversational prompts designed to remove the stigma of seeking help. Every scene, animation, and interaction was crafted to make the process feel real, safe, and attainable.

To amplify awareness, OGK® launched a series of 60-second television spots and digital shorts, timed strategically to reach audiences at their most vulnerable hours across targeted platforms.

The Outcome

The campaign’s impact was immediate and profound. Engagement spiked beyond capacity, resulting in a waitlist of individuals seeking treatment. RECO Island proved that technology could be a bridge to healing—connecting those in crisis to the help they never thought was possible.
