Blue Star Sports acquires Bigfoot Hoops

Blue Star Sports continues its rapid growth, announcing its latest acquisition, Bigfoot Hoops, further expanding its footprint in youth sports event management. Bigfoot Hoops has become the industry leader in competitive youth basketball tournaments, hosting elite level tournaments across the United
States for some of the best youth basketball players in the country.

Hosting eight events annually in Las Vegas, Houston and Orlando, Bigfoot Hoops provides a platform for the nation’s best youth basketball players to participate in first class events against the best competition, and a unique opportunity to be seen by scouting services, college coaches, press and fans nationwide. This acquisition continues to expand on the Blue Star Sports event management sector, which purchased PrimeTime Sports, a top-5 provider for youth basketball events and operations in June of last year.

Hal Pastner will continue to run Bigfoot Hoops and leverage the Blue Star Sports resources to continue to grow and improve his event platform. “Over the past year, we’ve been focusing our efforts on building the best collection of technology and event operation companies in the youth sports ecosystem. Bigfoot hoops fits perfectly with that vision we’ve established here at Blue Star Sports” said Rob Wechsler, Founder and CEO of Blue Star Sports. “Hal Pastner and the team at Bigfoot Hoops have a long track record of running premier basketball events at peak performance, and the entire team at Blue Star Sports is excited to welcome them to the family
and expand on their already proven success.”

“The addition of Hal Pastner and Bigfoot Hoops to the Blue Star Sports event portfolio creates grassroots basketball market credibility, reach, and resources unmatched in this space,” said David Stephens, Blue Star Sports Event Group VP and President PrimeTime Sports. “Blue Star Sports and Bigfoot Hoops share the same vision for delivering a top-notch experience to coaches, athletes & parents across the country. We’re excited to join the Blue Star family and leverage their industry leading sports platform to continue bringing the best youth basketball experiences to our participants and their families” Said Hal Pastner, founder of Bigfoot Hoops.
